HYGIENIC ASSESSMENT OF THE METHODS OF WATER TREATMENT AND DISINFECTION WITH COAGULANTS AND AVAILABLE CHLORINE
On the basis of the research results it was found that the use of polya-luminium chloride allowed to eliminate the primary chlorination or to reduce essentially the portion of available chlorine. The use of coagu-lants does not exclude and does not replace the chlorination at the final stage of water treatment as it's necessary for providing the bactericide effect in the distribution network.

THE STUDY OF COAGULATION AND DISINFECTION PROCESSES IN THE COURSE OF SURFACE SOURCE WATER TREATMENT
The use of ÀÊÂÀ-ÀÓÐÀÒ"18 and ÀÊÂÀ-ÀÓÐÀÒ"10 aluminium polyoxychlorides as reagents for water treatment does not lead to crea-tion of chlororganic at the sedimentation and filtration stages. These reagents possess also high disinfection effect comparing with aluminium sulphate.

Efficiency of the use of different types of coagulants for the Volga's water treatment according to sanitary, hygienic and economic criteria has been estimated. It shows essential superiority of aluminium poly-oxychloride over aluminium sulphate.
